We were eager to see the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in the UAE since it was unveiled globally with a completely revamped retro-modern look, a few months back. But the moment has arrived because the 2024 Prado is all set to hit the UAE dunes as Al Futtaim Toyota launched it at a competitive starting price of AED 199,900 which goes all the way upto to AED 264,000. The pricing will turn up the heat in the current mid-size SUV segment, but pricing is just one factor, let’s see if its capabilities can survive the competition.

Beginning with the platform, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is built on the global TNGA-F architecture, shared with Toyota siblings like the Land Cruiser 300 Series, Tacoma pickup, the latest 4Runner, etc. This advanced architecture is designed to offer supreme off-road prowess and with a 50% increase in frame rigidity and a 30% increase in overall rigidity, it is capable of tackling any terrain possible.

To enhance its off-road capabilities even further, the electric power steering in the 2024 Toyota Prado will make a significant change in control on off-road adventures. Plus, the innovative Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM) will ensure top-notch off-road performance without sacrificing on-road stability. With the additional features like Multi-Terrain Monitor and Multi-Terrain Select systems, off-road with the 2024 Prado will become a breeze.

The main talking point of the 2024 LC Prado is its exterior design, which takes inspiration from its predecessors. The front-end design takes inspiration from the original 70 series, and you have a choice between the front-end with rectangular headlamps, which is standard across all the variants, and the other with the round headlamp setup in the form of First Edition, which is only limited to only 8000 units globally. Other than that the whole 2024 Land Cruiser Prado lineup looks menacing and evokes the iconic Land Cruiser silhouette, paying homage to its storied heritage.
