Soueast Motor, also known as Fujian Motor Industry Group, is a Chinese automaker with a history that dates back to 1995. The company was established as a joint venture between Fujian Motor Industry Group, China Motor Corporation (CMC), and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

Soueast initially focused on producing vehicles under license from Mitsubishi, leveraging the Japanese automaker's technology and expertise. They introduced their first model, the Soueast Lioncel (based on the Mitsubishi Lancer), in 1996, and it quickly gained popularity in the Chinese market.
