Chery Articles

Chery Automobile is a Chinese automotive manufacturer with a relatively young but eventful history. Chery was started in 1997 and headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui, China. It quickly gained attention as one of China's earliest independent automotive companies.

In the early 2000s, Chery made significant strides by producing affordable and compact cars, catering to the domestic Chinese market. The company's initial focus was on small and economical vehicles, which resonated well with the rising middle class in China. In 2003, Chery made headlines when it unveiled its first mass-produced car, the Chery QQ, which became one of China's best-selling cars at the time.

As Chery's reputation grew, the company started exploring international markets, exporting its vehicles to various countries in Asia, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. Over time, Chery expanded its product lineup to include sedans, SUVs, and electric vehicles, further solidifying its position in the global automotive market.

Chery has also collaborated with other international automakers, such as Jaguar Land Rover, to enhance its technological capabilities and gain access to new markets. Chery continues to focus on developing electric and intelligent vehicles to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly and connected mobility solutions.
