Peugeot To Enter Oman With Full Product Range

French carmaker Peugeot has formally entered a partnership with Al Hashar Group, a leading name in the automotive industry. The firm will introduce its product range in the Sultanate of Oman.

PSA Group and Al Hashar Group announced the partnership at the inauguration event on Sunday, 23 December. The event was under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Sa’ad in Mohammed Al Mardhouf Al Sa’adi, the minister of Sports Affairs for Oman. High-profile attendees from the industry and media were treated to a state-of-the-art French Car Catwalk” showcasing the latest Peugeot models.

Through partnerships like these, Peugeot aims to expand and consolidate its presence in the Gulf countries. The partnership also aligns with Al Hashar Group’s vision to provide its customers with excellent service and world-class products tested as per Gulf specifications.

Senior vice president, Sales and Marketing at PSA Group Samir Cherfan highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying: “Oman is amongst the most important markets for PSA Group and Peugeot, and with this partnership, we’re aiming to achieve tangible growth in Oman. We continue to adapt our Push to Pass strategy to the region with the latest innovative products including the SUV and LCV ranges. Al Hashar Group is not only well-known for its automotive legacy, but also for its commitment to providing highly-skilled team and exceptional customer service. Partnering with such a renowned group contributes to enhancing Peugeot’s presence locally and regionally.”

Mr Sultan Al Kharusi, Managing Director of Al Hashar Group said: “With over four-decades experience in the automotive industry in Oman, we are ready to take on another venture. Partnering with Peugeot is yet another milestone in the Group’s success story. Through this partnership, we aim to bring the latest models of the French car brand to our customers and support them with consistent and competent after-sales back- up.”

Peugeot will bring its range of SUVs to Oman that includes the all-new 2008, 3008, and 5008. Its brace of sedans such as the 208 and 308 will also join the list of offerings. Finally, the French carmaker will also start selling commercial vans in the Sultanate.
