Volkswagen has already confirmed that it will be selling their first electric I.D. cars in 2020 and the plain I.D. car will be the introductory model in that lineup.
There were rumors that the VW group might launch an I.D. crossover car that will follow the base version and that rumor holds true as VW now confirms that there will be a crossover that will follow up. It is so confident that VW is bringing that I.D. Crozz to the Frankfurt Motor Show with some tweaks and updates that make it slightly more ready to be production worthy.
Volkswagen's press release said that the updates that will be similar in the production will be the front and the rear fascias. VW has already launched a teaser and has allowed some pictures to come and float the internet to intrigue many consumers over the world. Unsurprisingly, there are no drastic changes to the fascias. What is evident is that the front headlights are now designed for illumination. Also, the center bar that runs through the grille and the VW logo will also have illumination setting the difference between the internal combustion cars.
Besides these tweaks, the wide hood on the car, bulging fenders that stand out, and the lower grille shape all remain unchanged and looks very much like the original concept version. The Volkswagen I.D. is not just a show car but something to watch out for as Volkswagen is serious about producing an electric car that works in the real world. It will be interesting to see what will come from this brand to aid and improve the greener technology and the practicality that it will bring to the consumers.
