Hennessey, perhaps, not a familiar name to many. But people who are aware of it knows its weight and what it's capable of. Well, to put things into perspective, the last in-house project of Hennessey gave birth to the Venom GT. It was the world's fastest production car back then. Now, these guys are back with their latest offering which is called Hennessey Venom F5. Here is the teaser video.
The video shows us glimpses of the research and development work went in building the Venom F5. At the end of the video, we see the entire car for a short period of time. The Venom F5 will be unveiled on 1st Nov 2017 in Las Vegas, USA at the SEMA show. SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and is a motor vehicle aftermarket show.
It's been reported that Hennessey Venom F5 will have a massive 7 litre, V8 engine. This is expected to produce somewhere around 1450 bhp. With this much brutal power, it'd surely be one of the fastest production cars on the planet. The Bugatti Chiron has an 8-litre, W12 engine which produces 1479 bhp. You see where Hennessey is going with its Venom F5?
Hennessey claims that the top speed of the Venom F5 would be around 482 kph. That's much more what the Chiron can do. Bugatti has put an electronic speed limiter on the Chiron and hence it tops out at 420 kph but is capable to stretch it till 463 kph if there is no limitation. This one we've got to see.
The Venom F5 is based on a new platform and not the one which was used to build the previous Venom GT. It looks brilliantly done from each and every angle. And we're really looking forward to it beating records and building new ones. And if it manages to do that, then it will really live up to its name, Venom.
