UAE Gets Special Edition GMC Yukon

The GMC Yukon achieved a milestone in its lifecycle of 25 years of continuous production. To commemorate the silver jubilee this year, GMC has added a special-edition variant to the Yukon range.
The GMC Yukon has been plying roads across the world ever since it was launched way back in 1992. Four generations and twenty-five years later, the 2018 Yukon is an imposing, hefty SUV that is powered by a typical no-replacement-for displacement American V8. The 5.3-liter Ecotec3 petrol V8 motor delivers an impressive fuel economy of 10.4L/100 km for the entry-level rear-wheel-drive model. The fuel consumption figure is rated by EPA.
Only the top two trims, SLE and SLT benefit from the silver jubilee package. All the special Yukons are marked with an exclusive 25th-anniversary badge, chrome-trim accents, grille, mirror caps, door handles as well as side mouldings. Bling just cannot look bad on a good old 'Murican SUV. Additionally, the exhaust outlets and tow hooks are also chrome, but that's where the bling stops. Buyers can choose between sets of 20-inch or 22-inch alloys. There are no apparent changes to the interior, but we guess some more badging must be in order, along with some more chrome garnishes.
Strangely, the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali special edition is conspicuous by its absence. With the company choosing trims that are a notch lower than the top-spec Denali version, it would seem GMC missed out on making a really good vehicle. However, the 2018 Yukon Denali does have some tricks up its sleeves. In addition to the usual mile-long list of comfort and convenience features, the entire 2018 Denali lineup is treated to a brand-new 10-speed transmission that extracts more performance from the top-end 6.2-liter V8, which is good for 420hp and 624Nm.
The 2018 Yukon, Yukon XL, Denali and Denali XL all get a new tyre fill alert which is a part of the tyre pressure monitoring system. GMC has also added a new color to the Denali's palette.
