It is almost the end of the first month of 2018, and Honda has got an all-new car for its customers in the UAE. It is the 2018 Honda Jazz, which has been officially launched by Al-Futtaim Honda. It's available in only one trim - EX - and six colour options - White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Milano Red, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic and Rouge Amethyst Metallic - with only black interiors.
Styling
In order to make the new 2018 Jazz more sportier than ever, Honda has reworked both the front and the rear portion of the car. It seems to sit a bit lower and wider. The solid wing-face grille flanks the firm's logo at its centre. The front bumper is now a bit sharper, with aggressive aerodynamic body lines. The rear end of the car has got a striking pair of tail lights. The 16-inch new alloy wheels add to the sportiness of the car. If you see the new Jazz coming from a distance, you'd be able to tell that it's a Jazz, but at the same time, it's redesigned elements would attract you more. Basically, Honda has successfully managed to keep the silhouette of the old Jazz intact and made it a bit more modern.

To offer the best-in-class space for its occupants, Honda has employed some clever techniques to find the optimum utilisation of the available resources. For example, a lower- profile fuel tank mounted in the centre frees up underfloor space beneath the rear seats, enabling the platform to accommodate Honda's innovative Magic Seats system. In one easy move, you can flip and fold your seats to make them almost disappear, or create multiple configurations to accommodate almost anything. There are different seating configurations that you can benefit from. These configurations include utility mode, tall mode, long mode and refresh mode.
The new 7-inch touchscreen display helps to navigate easily through the available options. Then we've got a few of the basics like the climate control, steering mounted controls, leather-wrapped steering wheel, etc.. Engine
The all-new 2018 Honda Jazz comes with a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 130hp of max power at 6,600 rpm and 155Nm of peak torque at 4,600 rpm. The transmission here is a CVT type which provides instant throttle response whilst achieving the best in the segment fuel economy with low emissions.
Safety features
Honda has made sure that the occupants of the new 2018 Jazz are well looked after. Hence, the new car comes with Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure technology to enhance occupant protection and crash compatibility. It now incorporates Honda active-safety features such as the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake Distributor (EBD) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Whiplash Lessening Front Headrests and Driver and Passenger SRS Airbags for added protection.
