Peugeot has revealed the 5008 SUV and things are looking very good. The 5008 is basically a bigger 3008 and this one is no exception as it is 20cm longer than the latter.
Unlike the 3008, the 5008 doesn't have any hybrid powertrains on offer. Featuring a third row of seating, the 5008 has new LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch alloy and a new Black Pack which gives the SUV some dark styling accents.
Just like its sibling, the 5008 has 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Four driving modes - Normal, Sport, and Eco - are available and there is also an Advanced Grip Control which fiddles with the traction control. Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand modes are available for the traction control.
Three-cylinder 1.2-liter turbocharged and four-cylinder 1.6-liter petrol engines are on offer along with 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter diesel engines. Option of a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic gearbox are available.
All in all the 5008 is the ultimate people's carrier and very easily one of the best family cars on sale.
