With the Audi TT RS Iconic Edition, Audi has given a send-off to the TT coupe. And now, Audi's line-up is finally cutting ties with the TT Roadster, with the TT Roadster Final Edition. The TT Roadster exemplified the perfect blend of top-down exhilaration and dynamic performance, which made it a true icon in the automotive industry that delivered a thrilling ride that's sure to leave a lasting impression, whether you're cruising along scenic coastlines or taking on winding mountain roads. The TT Roadster has captured the hearts of enthusiasts for generations. Now, with Audi, as we bid farewell to the TT Roadster 2023, it's time to celebrate its timeless design, performance, and the rich heritage it carries.

A Legacy in Green: Audi exclusive Goodwood Green

The TT Final Edition comes dressed in the exclusive Audi Goodwood Green pearl effect paint, a color that harks back to the first-generation TT Roadster. This color isn't just a choice; it's a tribute to the rich history of the TT. Platinum gray matte exterior bumper trim and side elements, integrated with the S line exterior, offer a sleek and modern touch. It's worth noting that this is the first time the S line exterior has been offered on the third-generation TT Roadster, adding to the exclusivity of the Final Edition, which resembles the TTS.

Complementing the S line's gray accents is a gray convertible top, a feature previously seen on the 2019 TT Roadster 20th Anniversary edition. The soft-top comes equipped with an electrohydraulic drive system that allows it to be raised or lowered in just 10 seconds while the vehicle is in motion at speeds of up to 31 mph (50kmh).

An Interior That Defines Luxury

Step inside the TT Roadster Final Edition, and you're greeted with Palomino Brown leather, a nod to the first generation's iconic baseball-stitch leather. This luxurious interior color, paired with the Audi exclusive Goodwood Green exterior, creates a timeless and harmonious combination that pays homage to the original TT Roadster.

What sets the Final Edition apart is the inclusion of the extended leather package, which wraps the door armrests and center console in the same Palomino Brown leather and stitching. Black leather covers the airbag cap and instrument cluster hood, further enhancing the interior's premium feel. Even the steering wheel and gear selector boot receive special attention with Audi-exclusive Palomino Brown stitching. To complete the look, the floor mats are trimmed with Palomino Brown leather piping and stitching.

The TT Roadster's S sport seats are not only designed for comfort and style but also feature neck-level heating, ensuring you stay warm on chilly days with the top down. Built-in seatbelt microphones optimize Bluetooth and voice recognition operations. The interior is adorned with Carbon fiber inlays, highlighting the sporty character of the TT Roadster Final Edition.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the TT Roadster Final Edition boasts a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, packing a punch with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft or 350 Newton meters of torque. Paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, this roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 5.5 seconds. The 20" forged wheels ensure that the Final Edition not only looks sporty but performs like a true sports car.

The TT Legacy

The name "TT" itself carries a rich history. It's reminiscent of the legendary Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man, one of the oldest motorsports events globally, where Auto Union brands like NSU and DKW celebrated remarkable successes with their motorcycles. NSU later used the "TT" nomenclature to commemorate their historic race championship on the sporty small car - the TT Prinz.

In 1998, Audi introduced the TT Coupe to the world, followed by the Roadster model just a year later. This design challenged the conventional ideas of Audi design, embracing the Bauhaus-inspired aesthetics in its three generation run. Even the name "TT" marked a departure from Audi's traditional naming conventions, underlining the novelty of this model line with a final edition model.

A Fond Farewell

The TT model lineup has not only been a design icon but also a technology leader for Audi. It introduced several pioneering design and technology features, such as the electronically deployable rear spoiler, Audi virtual cockpit, Audi magnetic ride suspension, and the first Audi with available OLED taillights. The 2023 TT Roadster Final Edition marks the end of an era for this iconic model line, concluding a chapter of iconic design for Audi.

In conclusion, the Audi TT Roadster Final Edition celebrates the true tribute to Audi's legendary design heritage. Only 50 units will ever be made with unique colors and luxurious interiors. TT with its powerful performance, and a history that stretches back to the Isle of Man's Tourist Trophy, it's a car that leaves a lasting impression. As Audi closes the chapter on the TT, the legacy and memories of this iconic model will continue to inspire automotive enthusiasts for generations to come.

In a world of cars, the Audi TT Roadster Final Edition is not just a vehicle; it's a work of art, a testament to Audi's commitment to innovation and design, and a farewell that's as stylish and timeless as the TT itself.
