Jeep has been planning to launch a 'facelift' of the Renegade. Spy shots of the same have been circulating on the Internet for quite some time now. The latest bunch here tells us that the 2019 Jeep Renegade will have new elements added to its front and rear.
The front and rear of the test vehicle were covered with camouflage, while the remaining portion wasn't. This implies that Jeep is planning to revamp the looks of its 2019 Renegade.
What we can figure out from the spy shots is that there would be a more square-ish treatment at the front, including the headlights and foglights. The bumper has been redesigned as well. The vertical slats of the front grille appear to be a bit thinner than that of the current model. Perhaps, this has been done to maintain the square-ish design.
The rear end of the test mule doesn't look that much changed. It does have camouflage, but we think most of the elements under it are left unchanged. Even the tail lamps look untouched. We will get to know more about the appearance of the new Renegade soon.
The big question here is, with what engine would the 2019 Jeep Renegade come? The current generation model gets a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged unit and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
