Volvo has released a few more teaser images of its latest 2019 S60 just before the new car's global premiere. Volvo is going to unveil the S60 at its brand new factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina. This is where the new S60 will be manufactured.
The new teaser images get us more excited about the new 2019 S60. It will feature Volvo's signature Hammer LED DRLs with LED headlights, and the C-shaped LED tail lights that we've already seen in the S90. It wouldn't be wrong to interpret the S60 as a toned-down version of the S90, but only in terms of size because Volvo doesn't like to trim out on many features on its cars.
The interior of the new S60 should resemble that of the S90. But we could see a new massive touchscreen infotainment system. The new Volvo S60 is based on the company's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) that we've seen in the XC90, S90, and V90. This new platform is lighter and provides slightly larger dimensions to the car.
We are expecting to see the new S60 with the same engine options as the ones available with the XC60. There's not going to be a diesel variant available. The top-of-the-line variant of the new 2019 S60 will feature the T8 Twin Engine that will be powered by the 'Polestar Engineered'. This model will churn out a max power of 415 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque.
