A British Racing Green Aston Martin Vantage will share the Formula 1 safety car job Mercedes-AMG GT R as the Formula 1 safety car. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, this special Aston Martin Vantage has a huge rear wing and 528bhp along with 505lb ft of torque.
This Vantage also has a unique suspension set-up and increased structural stiffness thanks to chassis reinforcing. Other features include thermal management system and a new grille and front splitter for more downforce.
That's not all - a British Racing green Aston Martin DBX will be sharing medical car duties with the Merc C63 Estate featuring fire extinguishers, medical bag, defibrillator and four bucket seats.
The two Aston cars will be seen in the opening race at Bahrain while the Mercs will return for the Emilia-Romagna GP at Imola. Aston boss Tobias Moers said, "I am extremely proud of the Aston Martin brand's return to Formula One for the first time in more than 60 years and it represents the start of a significant new era for Aston Martin.
