Building on the success of previous sessions, Nissan, the Official Automotive Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, conducted its final roundtable as part of a dedicated leadership series at Expo 2020 Dubai. Spotlighting the Middle East as a region of opportunity, the session once again attracted leading industry figures to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo, where the event took place.
Focused on the region as a progressive hub for global businesses, the interactive debate was hosted by Abdulilah Wazni, Director of Marketing, Product and Customer Experience at Nissan Middle East, who welcomed Amadou Diallo, Chief Executive Officer, Middle East & Africa at DHL Global Forwarding, as the event's main guest speaker. In attendance also were select senior representatives from Meta, Edelman, TBWA/RAAD, EV Lab and Green Parking.
Speaking about the event, Abdulilah Wazni, Director of Marketing, Product and Customer Experience at Nissan Middle East, said: “For us at Nissan, the Middle East is a hugely important market. Our long-standing heritage guides our continued growth, and we remain deeply committed to bringing the future of mobility to this region.”
“As the Official Automotive Partner of the first-ever world fair that was held in the Middle East, Expo 2020 Dubai now serves as a remarkable case study for this market and is a direct reflection of a young, tech-savvy and economically prosperous region. At Nissan, we are honoured to be part of this exciting journey”, he added.
Adding to his comments, Amadou Diallo, CEO DHL Global Forwarding Middles East & Africa, said, “EXPO 2020 played a tremendous role in cementing the UAE's position as a global hub for innovation; showcasing the UAE's resilience and post pandemic recovery. Both, Nissan and DHL are not only driven by innovation, but also share the same ambitious target of becoming emissions-free by 2050. We feel proud to support Nissan on this journey, whether in the region with our new EV hub or globally with our transport and supply chain services.”
Nissan has a strong presence in the Middle East that dates back to 1956, when the first vehicle was introduced in Kuwait. Since then, Nissan has built strong relationships with regional partners, which contribute to the sales of some of Nissan's most iconic products, such as the Nissan Patrol. A beloved product that over the years has become an integral part of family life in the region and remains a customer favourite till date.
Nissan has launched its three-part leadership series as the Official Automotive Partner to share its global expertise, regional heritage, and vision for the future of mobility by engaging stakeholders to accelerate the shift to a safer, smarter, sustainable, and connected future.
