Nissan has officially launched the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO in Japan with the iconic nametag of "Fairlady Z". The Japanese sports car will be launched around the world including the US this fall and UAE in the coming months, it sits above the Z performance variant. The 2024 Z NISMO now produces more power than before, features chassis upgrades, enhanced aesthetics, and is only available with an automatic transmission. 

Technical details of the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO

The Nissan Z NISMO is powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine which has been more refined than before and now produces 420 horsepower and 520Nm of torque, an increase of 20hp and 46Nm. The Z NISMO now comes with an enhanced automatic transmission, allowing smoother and quicker shifts.

Nissan has improved the steering and body's torsional rigidity and fine-tuned the chassis and traction that allows the drivers to stick to their desired line, while the NISMO brakes enable a complete sports driving experience. The Z NISMO gets three drive modes, including NISMO's exclusive SPORT+ mode.

Inside the Z NISMO, the engine start/stop and drive mode selection buttons are highlighted with an anodized red finish. The car gets a fully digital TFT meter 8 or 9-inch touchscreen display that showcases graphics with a red outline around the tachometer, along with a NISMO logo and a special red "flash" during the start-up animation. It also gets an 8-speaker Bose Audio System, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa built-in and Nissan Connect Services with Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Z NISMO features a sleek and sporty interior, carefully designed with a combination of colours and materials with a  leather-wrapped steering wheel to improve driver focus and enhance the sporty feel. The exclusive NISMO Recaro sports seats are made with leather and Alcantara material to provide a non-slip surface and a premium texture.

Exterior details of Nissan Z NISMO

On the Outside, the Nissan Z NISMO features a NISMO exclusive front grille, front and rear bumpers, fender mouldings, side sill protectors, rear spoiler, and rear LED fog lamps. The front of Z NISMO gets a long nose design called the “Grand-Nose” or “G-Nose,” inspired by the heritage Nissan Fairlady 240ZG.

The Z Nismo boasts a low centre of gravity with enhanced downforce that results in improved aerodynamic performance. The front grille has a honeycomb design with minimal airflow resistance, a feature also found in the 2024 Nissan GT-R. This design, combined with the wind-skimming air guide slope, maximizes cooling efficiency for optimal performance. The Z NISMO is fitted with 19-inch glossy black forged aluminium wheels and wears Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT600 tyres.

It is available in five exterior colours, including Black Diamond Pearl, Brilliant Silver, Passion Red TriCoat, Everest White Pearl TriCoat and the two-tone Steel Grey/Super Black that is exclusive to the NISMO variant.

Safety features on the new 2024 Nissan Z NISMO

All 2024 Nissan Z models come equipped with a comprehensive set of standard driver assistance and safety technologies. These include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist, and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning.
