Nissan Ariya has been rated the maximum 5 stars for safety by Green NCAP, which is an independent organization that evaluates cars based on their impact on the environment. The car scored a Weighted Overall Index of 9.6 which shows that the car surpasses the minimum sustainability environment.
Green NCAP's testing process analyzes all aspects of a car's sustainability through three sections: Clean Air Tests, Energy Efficiency Tests, and Greenhouse Gases Tests. The results from these tests determine the car's overall score, emphasizing environmental impact.
Being an electric car the Ariya has no exhaust pipes, hence it achieved a perfect 10/10 on the Clean Air Index test. The car also received impressive ratings of 9.3/10 in the Energy Efficiency Index and 9.5/10 in the Greenhouse Gas Index sections.
With a consumption of roughly 24 kWh per 100 kilometres at -1°C, the Nissan Ariya performed well in the standard On-Road Drive test. The usable battery capacity measured by Green NCAP is 89.6 kWh which is higher than the officially claimed figure, its 11 kW charger allowed charging efficiency to 91.6%, the highest value ever seen by Green NCAP.
The all-electric Nissan Ariya offers a range of up to 533 kilometres with rapid charging capabilities. This makes the Ariya a great option for buyers looking for a more sustainable lifestyle.
