Chevrolet’s iconic full-size SUV, is back for 2022 and more is more. Already a legend, the 2022 Tahoe line-up launches with groundbreaking Google built-in compatibility to elevate the in-vehicle experience and strengthen GM’s leadership in connectivity, while the all-new Tahoe RST trim introduces new levels of performance and style to the full-size SUV segment.
“Chevrolet is known for building outstanding SUVs and the 2022 Tahoe epitomizes this engineering expertise, introducing more power, performance, technology and style for the region’s full-size SUV lovers,” said Sharon Nishi, Chief Marketing Officer, GM Middle East. “With Google built-in technology, an all-new trim and performance enhancements, we’ve elevated the iconic Tahoe line-up offering for our audiences.”
Always Ready for Action:  Tahoe RST
All new for 2022 is the Tahoe RST trim, unlocking a whole new personality for this iconic full-size SUV: while the Z71 allows its driver to sail across the dunes, the RST is equally powerful, with an emphasized focus on style and performance to create an SUV that’s always ready for action and to turn heads.
Inspired by the consistently strong feedback from Chevy’s loyal fan base, the Tahoe RST stands out on road, with a distinct front fascia equipped with a black grille, black bowtie badging and darkened chrome accents to emphasize its bold and confident persona. The interior is equally stylish, with black leather trimmed with red accents.
2022 Tahoe RST comes standard with the powerful and hugely popular 6.2L V8 engine with dual exhaust. Equipped with Magnetic Ride Control, one of the fastest-reacting damping systems in the industry, it is coupled with standard Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, adjusting between four ride heights to emphasize control, comfort and efficiency.
Standard on both Tahoe RST and Z71 is the Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) which draws on sports car DNA to deliver improved driving performance in a full-size SUV. If wheel slip is detected on either side of the vehicle, eLSD reacts instantly to shift power to the wheel with better traction. That additional traction can contribute to increased driver confidence in difficult types of terrain and weather conditions. eLSD also unlocks the potential of the 420 HP V8, delivering more control and precision.
All the above options are managed by a multi-mode driver setting that tailors the everyday drive depending on the driver’s mood: Tour for maximum comfort and economy, or Sport, for when the road calls for more control and precision.
For the discerning owner who looks to pack more of a performance punch, the Tahoe RST is available with Front and rear Chevrolet Performance Brembo brakes, to execute the highest braking performance available in a full-size SUV. And to amplify the aural tone of the legendary 6.2L V8, the available Chevrolet Performance Exhaust system brings out the classic V8 burble.
Seamless Infotainment System with Google built-in Capability1
As the world gets more connected, the demand for seamless integration between personal tech and vehicles is at an all-time high. Building on GM’s overarching vehicle intelligence and connectivity goals, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe launches with a seamless infotainment system with Google built-in capability.
These new features will enhance the overall customer experience and make it easier than ever for customers to bring their digital lives into future connected vehicles.
-  Voice Assistant*: Talk to Google to get hands-free help in the 2022 Tahoe. Easily call or text a friend, set reminders, or even change the temperature in the vehicle. Drivers can also find the best route to their next destination or look up what’s nearby. Skipping to the next track or rewinding a podcast is easy using favorite media apps. Just say, “Ok Google” or press the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel to get started.
-  In the future, drivers will be able to simply use their voice to engage with their vehicle, which could include renewing their OnStar or Connected Services plans, checking on their tire pressure, scheduling service and more.
-  Embedded Navigation: Google Maps2 in the vehicle is constantly up-to-date and helps drivers navigate with real-time traffic information, automatic re-routing and lane guidance. With Google Assistant, drivers can use their voice to navigate home, share their ETA, find the nearest petrol station, or ask about their favorite coffee shop’s hours without needing a phone.
-  In-Vehicle Applications: Google Play lets drivers find their favorite apps and services designed specifically for in-vehicle use. Drivers can listen to the same albums, podcasts and audiobooks in the vehicle as at home and stay connected with their most important contacts on communication apps. Plus, rearrange the apps on the infotainment system screen to get a personalized and specific layout preferred.
Available in connected countries3, Google built-in technology requires a Connected Services in-vehicle data trial or a Wi-Fi Data plan (where OnStar Connected Services and Wi-Fi has been launched) or customers can connect through their personal mobile data hotspot. A Revolutionary Virtual Cockpit
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe revolutionizes the cabin with the introduction of the virtual cockpit, using technology to amplify the driver’s experience. Headlined by a 12.3-inch high-definition display nestled behind the steering wheel, drivers can view and access vehicle information and functions in a whole new way. With a fully customizable display, drivers can set their preferred look and identify what information is shown.
The virtual cockpit is also connected to the 10.2-inch center Chevrolet Infotainment screen for seamless integration. Ensuring optimal performance, the crisp display offers enhanced information visibility during daylight and reduced glare in the dark.
Now, the 2022 Tahoe’s driver is welcomed by external lighting from approach and the HD screen displays trim-specific graphics, setting the mood right before they hit the road.
More Power, On and Off-Road
Tahoe is synonymous with power, but Chevrolet engineers are always looking to go bigger, bolder, better. For 2022, the 6.2L V-8 engine is now available on the Tahoe Z71 and Premier trims and comes standard on the RST. Offering 420 HP, this engine delivers on its reputation of balancing performance and practicality, with dual exhaust and Dynamic Fuel Management technology, designed to optimize engine efficiency across a broad range of driving conditions, while offering maximum power and ample torque even from low in the rev range.
The bigger, bolder, better 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe line-up is now available in showrooms across the Middle East. For more information, please visit Chevrolet Arabia.
