MG (Morris Garages) Motor, the British car manufacturer, showcased the ZS Crossover at the Saudi International Motor Show in Dec last year. It was received pretty well by the people. Now, the company has officially launched the ZS Crossover across the Middle East market. The base model starts at a price of AED 44077. With its ZS Crossover, MG Motor is eyeing to rope in customers who are looking to buy a good-looking, well-equipped, well-built car at a sensible price.
Commenting on the new model, Mr Tom Lee, Managing Director SAIC Motor Middle East, said, “The new MG ZS features a stylish new design language and a host of hi-tech features tailored specifically to the needs of the younger generation and the female market. All of which makes this a very strong entrant into the regional SUV sector, while at the same time helping to spread the message that MG is a key player on the international automotive field.''
The MG ZS Crossover is a handsome looking vehicle. Based on MG's 'Emotional Dynamism' design language, it is primarily made to attract a young crowd. Its distinctive front grille with a large brand logo sitting in the centre, along with the striking-looking pair of headlights, enhances the overall look of the car. The fit and finish are top-notch. MG says that its new design philosophy is meant to create a visual impact without compromising durability and longevity.
The new design language continues to leave its mark in the interiors as well. MG's inkaLink system has an 8-inch screen and the infotainment gets Apple CarPlay as well. MG says that 80 percent of the exposed surfaces in the interior of the ZS Crossover are covered with soft materials, and a colour contrast from the dark grey base creates a layered effect.
There's ample amount of head, leg and shoulder room for all passengers. The boot capacity of 448 litres is more than enough to accommodate luggage for your road trip. MG has also provided various storage spaces throughout the cabin. There's also a panoramic sunroof available as an option.
Powering the new ZS Crossover is a 1.5-litre engine which produces 119 hp of max power and 150 Nm of peak torque. MG claims that it is a very fuel-efficient engine which is capable to cover up 100 km in just 5.8 litres of fuel. It comes with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
