MG Motor appointed Jiad Modern Motors as its official distributor in Saudi Arabia, expanding its retail network and bringing its popular car models closer to Saudi customers.

In a significant move to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, MG Motor has officially appointed Jiad Modern Motors, a part of the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company, as its new distributor in the Kingdom. This strategic decision aligns with MG's regional retail expansion strategy, aiming to make its highly popular cars readily accessible to a broader customer base.

The announcement was celebrated with an official agreement signing ceremony at the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi headquarters. Key figures present at the event included Mr. Tom Lee, Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa at MG Motor, and Mr Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, Chairman, and Senior Executives from the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company. This partnership coincides with MG's upcoming centenary and its already-established status as a leading player in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East. In 2022, MG witnessed a surge in customer demand, breaking into the GCC's top six car manufacturers for the first time.

As part of this collaboration, Jiad Modern Motors will inaugurate showrooms in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam in the near future, with plans for additional facilities by the end of 2023, totaling six locations. At the core of this partnership lies a shared commitment to enhance the MG ownership experience through network expansion and the provision of high-quality aftersales services. This dedication underscores the mutual values of MG Motor and the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company, with a primary focus on prioritizing customer satisfaction, exemplified by a robust parts supply network in the Kingdom.

Existing MG car owners in Saudi Arabia can rest assured that all valid warranties for their vehicles will remain unaffected by this transition to a new retail partner. MG is committed to delivering the highest standards of customer service across the Kingdom, ensuring peace of mind for all its customers.

Car enthusiasts in Saudi Arabia will soon have access to MG's full range of best-selling models in the Middle East, including the MG RX5, MG ONE, and MG GT. Additionally, MG's electric vehicle lineup will be available, featuring the new MG HS PHEV and the new MG ZS EV. All MG vehicles come with an exceptional manufacturer warranty of six years or 200,000km, with an extended eight-year/200,000km warranty for the battery packs on electric models.

The appointment of Jiad Modern Motors represents a significant step in MG's efforts to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, a market where the brand has witnessed remarkable growth. In 2022, MG achieved outstanding sales performance, led by its popular models, the MG ZS and MG 5.

This collaboration is poised to reshape the Saudi automotive sector, combining MG's strong reputation as one of the Kingdom's favorite car brands with the unmatched expertise and legacy of the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company. As a result, customers can anticipate an unparalleled automotive experience characterized by high-quality vehicles and exceptional service.

A word from MG officials

Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East and North Africa, commented, “As MG Motor approaches its 100th year anniversary, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi is the ideal partner to reinforce our strong position in the Kingdom. They are at the top of their game, with long-standing experience in the automotive sector, and they have the resources to take MG Motor to the next level. As one of our key global markets, Saudi Arabia’s highly competitive automotive market means that customers rightly expect only the highest standards of service, and together with our new partner we look forward to working together to enhance these standards for our customers.”

Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, the Chairman of Jiad Modern Motors said, “This partnership resonates with our unrelenting dedication to excellence in the Saudi automotive industry. Teaming up with MG Motor not only reaffirms our commitment to bringing the best vehicles to the Saudi automotive market but also signifies our determination to set new benchmarks in customer satisfaction."
