McLaren Is Saying Goodbye To The Sports Series
The time has come for McLaren to say goodbye to the Sports Series. The 570S was the first car of the Sports Series. It made its debut in 2015 at the New York Auto Show. McLaren made seven different models under the Sports Series and now its time to end the glorious chapter of the British carmaker's history.
McLaren Sports Series production ended in December 2020 and the Woking-based firm is now delivering the final models of the most powerful Sports Series car - the 620R.
Powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8, the 620R has a mighty 611 bhp and 620Nm of torque. The 620R develops 185kg of downforce at 250km/h (155mph) and it has lowered suspension and two-way manually adjustable dampers just like a GT4 car. Other cool features of the car are carbon ceramic brakes, centre-locking wheels, stainless steel sports exhaust and a race car-like cockpit.
Only 225 620Rs have been made and the final models will now be delivered across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
