Look At The Superman Grille On The 2019 Genesis G90!

The 2019 Genesis G90 will be unveiled very soon, with spy shots of several lightly camouflaged prototypes surfacing online.
It is rather hard to trace the origins of these images, but the test mule depicted in them is undoubtedly the 2019 Genesis G90 luxury saloon. For the new model year, this car adopts a massive, in-your-face grille that Clark Kent would have loved to sport on his daily runabout. You know, in case he felt he was under-appreciated for his alter ego.
The grille made an appearance first on the Genesis Essentia and GV80 concepts. On board the upcoming G90, it is flanked by new G-Matrix headlamps with slim LED daytime running lights cutting through the middle. A modified bumper below features restyled air intakes.
Further back, the car adopts new front fender vents with feature-integrated turn signals. While details are sketchy in the images, the layout seems similar to the ones in the sketch of the luxury saloon that was released a few days ago.
The licence plate holder has been moved from the trunk to the bumper. This liberated space for the designers to play around with the rear-end design more. Perhaps Superman gave them a visit and specifically asked for those funky wraparound taillamps? Whatever the case may be, this Genesis gets a pretty cool derriere. Other significant styling changes are seen in the form of a rear spoiler and restyled exhaust tips which mimic the design of the grille.
Genesis has confirmed the 2019 G90 will receive an updated 12.3-inch infotainment system with an improved interface, compatibility with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay as well as over-the-air updates. The infotainment system will also have a mobile SMS function which can display text messages, read them out to you, and send generic replies.
Onboard technology includes adaptive suspension, active noise control, driver assistance systems like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Safe Exit Assist.
Genesis will debut the facelifted G90 on 27 November with customers getting to choose between a range of engines including a 3.8-litre V6, twin-turbocharged 3.3-litre V6, and a 5.0-litre V8. Be sure to keep an eye on Clark Kent making an appearance to book one of these.
