No more teaser videos, no more camouflaged pictures and no more test mules; the all-new Lamborghini Urus is now official! Undoubtedly, the Urus is one of most anticipated vehicles of the year. We've been hearing about it for so long and finally, Lamborghini has revealed it.
The Urus is the second SUV Lamborghini has ever built. The Italian firm took its good time to make and design it. It was almost five and a half years ago when the Urus was first conceptualised. We reckon that there must a million reasons why Lamborghini took this long to finally reveal the Urus, and we ain't complaining, nope.

You see, there are already big, high-performance SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7, out in the market. All three of them are some of the finest SUVs that money can buy. So, since Lamborghini, let's just say, wasn't interested in stepping into the SUV segment earlier, it didn't pay much heed to them. But when it did decide to have one, it had to be the best among the lot.
We don't really need to tell you guys about how good the Urus is when it comes to styling, aesthetics, road presence and attention-seeking stance. We've got the pictures here which you can see for yourself and sit and admire, desire, appreciate, inquire, question or just see. But yes, I think most of you would agree to me on the fact that out of the Bentayga, Cayenne, Q7 and Urus, it is the Lamborghini who looks way much better than the others. It's a Lambo, anyway, it had to look unique.

Like we mentioned earlier, Lamborghini took its sweet time to make the Urus. This much dedication, hard work and excellent engineering results in some very amazing numbers. Lamborghini claims that the Urus is capable to achieve a 100kph from standstill in just 3.6 seconds, and crosses 200kph in a mere 12.8 seconds. Don't forget that it is a gigantic, mammoth-sized SUV which weighs more than some mountains. It has got a top speed of 305kph. These figures make the Urus the fastest SUV out there, period.
What makes the Urus go so fast? The power to do that comes from a 4.0-litre, Twin-turbo, V8 engine that produces 641bhp of power and 850Nm of torque. Yes, I know, it's not a mighty V10 or V12 from the Huracan or Aventador. But, hey, it isn't a slouch. Plus, this V8 is better for going off-road as it has truck-load of torque available in the lower rev range.
The Urus is not just a larger Huracan or an Aventador, it is a proper SUV. It's meant to do things which other Lamborghinis can't. And it's damn good at it. It's loaded with all the latest technologies and electronics to make it go that much faster around a corner, whether on a smooth tarmac of a race track or a fast bend of loose gravel in the middle of nowhere. Thanks to the performance tech du jour, four-wheel steering, which twists the rear tyres by plus or minus three degrees, effectively shortening the wheelbase by 600mm at low speeds (by turning in the opposite direction to the fronts), or lengthening it by 600mm at higher speeds (by turning in parallel to the fronts). To stop a vehicle of its dimensions, Lamborghini has provided carbon-ceramic brakes as standard - front rotors 440mm, rear ones 370mm - largest on any production vehicle till date.

It is expected to be priced under $200,000. Lamborghini has given all it had to make the fastest SUV in the world. It is one good machine with a whole lot of engineering magic taking place all the time to make it stand alone, different from others out there. Lamborghini is expecting to see a boost in its sales with the launch of the Urus and we really hope that happens.
