Genesis is all set to extend its product portfolio for its customers in the Middle East by launching a new car in April. It is the G70 which will soon see the light of the day here in our market.
Genesis unveiled the G70 at an event in Korea in Sept last year. It is a stylish, modern, and premium sedan. Speaking about the G70, Genesis General Manager for Africa and the Middle East, Altar Yilmaz, said, “The G70 will further enhance customer appeal of the Genesis range, offering the style, comfort, and refined performance that is critical in a very competitive sporty segment of the premium automotive market.”
For the Middle East market, the new Genesis G70 will be available in two petrol engine options - a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged unit or a 3.3-litre, V6 turbocharged motor. Both the variants will come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Genesis has also incorporated numerous advanced safety and driver assist features, as well as a high-end infotainment system with latest connectivity options.
Altar Yilmaz also said, “Genesis will succeed by offering a car that is distinctively different from its rivals, and one that leads the market for its combination of athletic elegance, advanced technology, and best-in-class driving performance. With the G70, Genesis now offers core products in each main luxury sedan category, and we have achieved this in little more than a year.”
With the launch of the new G70, Genesis will have a total of three models in the Middle East market. It has the large flagship G90 and also a mid-size sedan, G80. Genesis has not disclosed a particular date for the launch of the G70, but it's going to be in April. We'll keep you guys posted about it. And as far as the deliveries are concerned, they will commence in the second quarter of 2018.
