Ford Motor Company has introduced the all new 2024 Ford F-150 globally. The Ford F-150 truck comes with a new yet familiar look and is set to hit the roads in early 2024.

One of the most impressive aspects of the 2024 F-150 is its versatility. With trims ranging from XL through Platinum Plus and off-road-ready models like Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R, there's an F-150 for almost every use case. This diversity is crucial because the F-150 excels in various industries, including construction, government, utility services, agriculture, landscaping, road and highway maintenance, emergency vehicles, and mining.

Technical Specs of the new 2024 Ford F-150

Focusing more on the hybrid engines, the new 2024 F-150 comes with a new standard engine – a popular, powerful, and efficient 2.7-litre EcoBoost that increases horsepower and torque on the base offer. This engine provides a perfect blend of power and efficiency, making it a great choice for everyday use.

Ford has ditched the 3.3-litre V6 engine and offers a new 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo engine in the base variant that produces 325 horsepower and 542Nm of torque or 400 lb-ft of torque as compared to the former engine's 290 hp and 360 Nm/265 lb-ft output.

The complete range of engine options includes a 2.7-litre EcoBoost, 3.5-litre EcoBoost, 3.5-litre PowerBoost, 3.5-litre High Output (F-150 Raptor), 5.0-litre V8, and the supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine (F-150 Raptor R). These engines deliver strong and optimized performance across the lineup. All the variants come with a standard 136-litre fuel tank capacity (36 gallons).

Pro Power Onboard

For individuals who require portable power while on the move, the 2024 F-150 presents the Pro Power Onboard feature. With a remarkable 7.2kW capacity on PowerBoost-equipped trucks, it delivers the highest available on-demand electrical output among gasoline-powered pickups in its category. This feature represents a significant advancement for those who depend on electricity at distant work locations or during tailgating events.

Interior details of the new Ford F-150

The 2024 F-150 is the most connected and smartest F-150 ever. It features SYNC 4 with a 12-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen as standard across the lineup and a 12-inch instrument cluster screen, providing helpful information to the driver. Additionally, a Head-Up Display is available for the first time in an F-150, offering important information without diverting the driver's attention from the road.

The 2024 F-150 boasts productivity-boosting digital features enabled by a class-exclusive 5G LTE modem. This technology allows for faster mapping, Wi-Fi, and Ford Power-Up software updates. Customers can even submit voice feedback on functionality or improvements for their F-150 through the SYNC 4 digital system.

Enhanced connectivity enables seamless transfer of in-vehicle data to Ford Pass and Ford Pro Telematics, giving fleet managers valuable insights to improve productivity and fleet uptime.

Exterior details of the Ford F-150

The all-new Ford F-150 looks muscular and has a powerful stance. It has a boxy look but has perfectly placed curved bodylines. The front-end design features a large grille, but the design of the grille varies depending on the variant.

The foundation of the F-150 is a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminium alloy body. This combination allows for best-in-class available payload and maximum towing capability. To prove its durability, the F-150 underwent more than 3.75 million customer equivalent miles of Built Ford Tough durability testing in labs, proving grounds, and real-world conditions.

Usability, Towing and Payload Capacity

Toughness isn't the only attribute of the F-150, it's also incredibly smart. It can export electric power to job site tools, assist drivers in hitching their trailers, provide hands-free highway driving through Ford BlueCruise, and offer an optimized tailgate for easy access.

The 2024 F-150 impresses with a best-in-class maximum available towing capacity of 6123kgs or 13,500 pounds and a best-in-class maximum available payload of 1113kgs or 2,455 pounds. Whether you're hauling equipment or materials, the F-150 has the power to get the job done.

Pro Access Tailgate

The 2024 F-150 introduces the Pro Access Tailgate, offering easier access to the truck bed with a 100-degree integrated swing gate and 19 inches of added reach. Ford's commitment to tailgate innovation is evident in features like fold-down steps and power tailgates. The truck also includes a bed storage box behind the rear wheel wells for secure tool and accessory storage without opening the tailgate.

Safety Features on the Ford F-150

The 2024 F-150 is not just powerful; it's also smart. It comes with 10 standard driver-assist features, including Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping System, and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. Ford also offers advanced driver-assist features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist to enhance productivity and safety.

For added security and peace of mind, the 2024 F-150 offers Ford Stolen Vehicle Services. This connected service can help locate and recover a stolen vehicle, providing owners with valuable security features.

F-150 Tremor

For those seeking off-roading adventures, the Ford F-150 Tremor is purpose-built to handle challenging terrain while maintaining all the functionality of an F-150. New for 2024, it offers an optional modular front bumper for aggressive styling and additional accessories.

A word from Ford officials

John Emmert, General Manager of Ford Trucks said, “Built Ford Tough is more than a motto; it’s our promise to always strive for more and never rest for F-150 owners. We see it as our duty to deliver what our customers want and need and what they never thought possible.”

Andrew Frick, Vice President, Sales and Trucks, Ford Blue said, “We’re making hybrid more accessible to our customers, giving them the power of choice by offering it at the same price as the 3.5-litre EcoBoost. This is the latest example of Ford democratizing technology for all truck customers. We did it with EcoBoost engines and with high-strength, military-grade aluminium alloy bodies for greater capability, and now we’re doing it with PowerBoost Hybrid.”

Alana Strager, F-150 program manager said, "Pro Access Tailgate is a game changer for our customers that dramatically improves and reinvents the customer experience, meaning less time crawling in and out of the bed, and a much larger cargo area accessible directly from the back of the truck."
