Citroen has revealed the pricing on its new C5 Aircross SUV. We learn that the company's flagship SUV will start from £23,225 after it opens its registries on December 3.
The C5 Aircross will be offered in three different trim levels including Feel, Flair and Flair Plus. Citroen is offering a total of 30 exterior colour combinations for the customers to choose from throughout the range of trims. These include seven body colours, out of which four can be combined with a black contrasting roof on the two Flair trims.
The SUV will be offered in two petrol as well as two diesel models. The petrol variants of the car include a 128bhp PureTech 130 three-cylinder mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, and the 178bhp PureTech 180 four-cylinder gets an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Citroen has also hinted about a four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid alongside a petrol engine that delivers 300bhp of power due in 2020.
Inside the cabin, an eight-inch touchscreen which includes a TomTom navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a reversing camera has been offered along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel as standard across all thee trims.
Citroen has offered a total of three colour options inside the cockpit including a grey cloth and grey strip to seat backs in the base Feel model.
The C5 Aircross gets a 580-litre boot, expanding to 670 litres with the rear seats placed as far forward as possible, and 1,630-litres with all three seats folded flat. The boot is accessed via a hands-free tailgate.
The SUV also features a host of safety tech. Active safety braking, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring are all available, as is what Citroen calls Highway Driving Assist: a level two autonomous driving system which can accelerate, brake and steer between lanes on motorways.
