For the second year in a row, Chevrolet Middle East has confirmed its partnership with Global EVRT. The Chevrolet Bolt EV will be along for the eight-day trip as the "Official Electric Vehicle Partner" when the event kicks off on 17 January 2019.
Ben Pullen, CEO and founder of Global Electric Vehicle Road Trip said, “We are delighted to have Chevrolet confirmed once again. The Bolt EV is a game-changer, particularly when it comes to its 520km range and will dispel misconceptions that electric vehicles can't drive long distances.”
The EVRT Middle East spans over 2,000 kilometres over eight days from UAE to Oman. This allows participants to see how electric vehicles are capable of traversing long distances without range anxiety. Global EVRT, the driving force behind the road trip, is a platform to promote EVs globally. It does so through EV Road Trips, conferences, and showcase events of electric car manufacturers. The ultimate goal of Global EVRT is to let consumers see that EVs are credible alternatives to conventional cars, and better contenders in many respects.

Gary West, Head of Future Mobility Middle East at General Motors said, "Last year, the EVRT Middle East gave car enthusiasts a first look at our Chevrolet Bolt EV as it was put to the test driving over 1,750km from the UAE to Oman and back. The Chevrolet Bolt EV has proven it can tackle any real-world driving situation and we look forward to welcoming new EVRT Middle East participants this year to experience the car's outstanding green credentials themselves."
Chevrolet has been one of the foremost carmakers to offer advanced electric cars in the Middle East. The company is leaving no stones unturned in promoting its latest "conventional" EV, the Bolt. It has also entered a partnership with Dubai Ripe Market wherein visitors can take a chance to test drive and look at the features of the Bolt EV for themselves.
