Arabian Automobiles, the flagship company of AW Rostamani Group delivered 50 Nissan KICKS crossovers to UDrive, a leading car-sharing provider in the Middle East.
Arabian Automobiles is the exclusive dealer for Nissan in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates. Contributing to the 'Shared Mobility' initiative, the dealer delivered 50 Nissan KICKS cars to the leading car-sharing service provider in the Middle East. The Shared Mobility initiative encourages commuters to car-pool or opt for alternative transportation methods with a view to decreasing the number of cars on the roads. This also contributes to the Dubai Green Mobility Initiative which intends to encourage the use of sustainable transport and electric vehicles as a personal mode of transport.
The concept of shared mobility has caught on and Nissan intends to cash in on the trend by making the technologically advanced KICKS crossover more visible. Early movers in any new initiatives usually get the biggest share of subsequent profits, whether in revenue or publicity. Nissan wants to be first on the scene of shared mobility. The way to do that is through the fleet the company just delivered to UDrive.
The KICKS is a model bestowed with the parent company's new suite of electronics and connectivity called 'Nissan Intelligent Mobility'. NIM primarily powers, drives, and integrates its cars into society through intelligent automobile design. Through the NIM capability, the KICKS transforms from a mere car to a responsive, intelligent partner capable of detecting drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. It uses its Around View Monitor and Moving Object Detection System to facilitate the previously mentioned functions.
The technology the KICKS offers is vital to and aligned with UDrive's model of business. This is the reason the Middle Eastern car-sharing giant turned to Nissan for the advanced crossover. Present at the handover were Hasib Khan, founder and CEO of UDrive; Charl Timms, Fleet General Manager for Nissan Middle East; and Nicholas Oswald, General Manager of Arabian Automobiles Company.
