The 2025 Toyota 4Runner SUV stands as a testament to four decades of unwavering off-road prowess and reliability. Established itself as a North American off-road icon, known for its capability, durability, and unmistakable style. In its latest iteration, the 2025 model promises to uphold the legacy while introducing innovative features and cutting-edge technology to elevate the off-road experience.

Continuing a Legacy of Adventure

Since its inception, the instant name recognition that 4Runner has gained has been synonymous with adventure. With over 3 million units sold in its 40-year tenure, it has garnered a dedicated following of enthusiasts who seek the thrill of off-road exploration and made its mark in automotive history. The 2025 model remains faithful to its roots while embracing modern advancements to provide owners with unparalleled versatility and capability.

A Solid Foundation for Adventure

At the core of the 2025 4Runner lies Toyota's tough TNGA-F global truck platform, shared with other esteemed models like the Land Cruiser 300 series, Tacoma, 2024 Land Cruiser Prado, and the 2024 Lexus GX. This platform, characterized by a high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame and advanced suspension systems, ensures exceptional durability and on-road comfort. Whether navigating rugged terrain or cruising on the highway, passengers are treated to a refined ride experience, courtesy of the innovative TNGA-F platform.

Engineering Excellence

The adoption of the TNGA-F platform not only enhances the vehicle's structural integrity but also augments its towing capabilities. With a powerful i-FORCE MAX powertrain under the hood, the 4Runner boasts a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds, making it an ideal companion for hauling gear and equipment on adventures.

Evolving Design Language

Guided by the spirit of outdoor recreation, the design of the 2025 Toyota 4Runner pays homage to its heritage while embracing contemporary styling cues. Spearheaded by the Michigan-based CALTY design team, the all-new 4Runner exudes rugged athleticism inspired by Baja desert racing. From its high lift and lean body to its distinctive silhouette, every aspect of the design reflects the vehicle's go-anywhere ethos.

Striking a Balance

While drawing inspiration from the past, designers have meticulously crafted a modern interior with premium materials that prioritize functionality and sophistication. Features like second-row tumble seats and a roll-down rear window enhance interior versatility, ensuring that the 4Runner remains adaptable to various lifestyle needs. With a perfect blend of form and function, the interior of the 2025 model exudes a sense of authenticity and refinement.

Then is the i-FORCE MAX with hybrid powertrain where the 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine is mated to a 48 horsepower electric motor generating up to 326 horsepower and 630 Newton meters of torque, which is only available with TRD Off-Road and Limited, while standard on the TRD Pro, Trailhunter and Platinum. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

There's no shortage of performance capabilities. Whether conquering challenging terrain or cruising through city streets, the 4Runner delivers a dynamic driving experience like no other.

Trail-Ready Capability
