The 2022 North American Car of the Year, the 11th generation Honda Civic, set a high bar for compact cars. The refreshed 2025 Honda Civic raises this bar even higher with enhanced style, advanced technology, and an available two-motor hybrid powertrain. This new addition promises more power and efficiency, making the Civic a top contender in its class.

Enhanced Powertrain Options

The 2025 Honda Civic hybrid-electric trims boast an anticipated combined 200hp and an impressive 314Nm. These figures make it the most powerful non-Type R Civic ever, ensuring quick and effortless acceleration. The Linear Shift Control enhances the driving experience by mimicking the gear-shifting feel of a conventional drivetrain, resulting in performance that surpasses the outgoing 1.5L turbo-powered Civic.

The Honda two-motor hybrid system maximizes efficiency without compromising on dynamic performance or space. This system features two large and powerful electric motors optimized for the Civic, delivering a sporty driving experience, with 50mpg or 21.3km/l. Additionally, the new Civic hybrids offer four levels of regenerative-braking deceleration, controlled through selector paddles on the steering wheel, providing a range of control during deceleration.

Selectable Drive Modes

Drivers can switch seamlessly between Econ, Normal, and Sport modes to optimize the driving experience for various conditions. Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid trims also feature a new Individual mode that allows customization of the driving experience, catering to different driving styles and preferences.

Exterior Enhancements

Every 2025 Honda Civic features a more aggressive front fascia and grille, with darker taillights for a sharper and sportier look. The hybrid-powered trims get a distinct body-colored headlamp garnish and front lower spoiler, enhancing their sporty appearance. All Sport trims include dark trim and black 18-inch wheels, with a new machine-finished wheel design exclusive to the top-of-the-line Sport Touring Hybrid.

Bold New Colors

The 2025 Civic lineup introduces four bold new colors: Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, Blue Lagoon Pearl (exclusive to the sedan), and Sand Dune Pearl (exclusive to the hatchback). These new colors add a fresh and dynamic look to the Civic’s already stylish exterior.

Advanced Interior Features

Refined Interior Design

The interior of the 2025 Civic is refreshed with a clean and simple design. All hybrid models now offer a gray interior color. The Sport Hybrid comes standard with a moonroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. The Sport Touring Hybrid adds luxury with leather seating, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, and advanced technology, including a larger 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a wireless smartphone charger.

Google Built-In Integration

The Sport Touring Hybrid features the Civic’s first integration of Google built-in. This includes apps like Google Assistant, Google Maps, and more on Google Play, providing a personalized and connected driving experience. With a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan, drivers can use Google Assistant to make calls, send texts, set reminders, and control media, all with voice commands.

The Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure and innovative airbag designs minimize potential injuries during collisions. All Civic models feature Honda’s Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Sport models also include Blind Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Manufacturing Excellence

Honda has produced over 11 million Civics in North America, with more than five million in the United States. The 11th-generation Civic continues this legacy with production in Alliston, Ontario, Canada (Sedan) and Greensburg, Indiana (Hatchback).

Hybrid-electric models will constitute about 40% of Civic sales, contributing to the brand's goal. The new Civic hybrid aligns with Honda’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while delivering the fun-to-drive experience that the Civic is known for.

Furthermore, the refreshed 2025 Honda Civic builds on the success of its predecessor by offering more style, advanced technology, and a powerful hybrid option. With its enhanced powertrain, stylish design, and cutting-edge features, the new Civic is set to maintain its position as a favorite among drivers.
