The 2024 Porsche Cayenne breaks cover at the Shanghai Auto Show. Porsche has updated the Cayenne thoroughly, improving its engine, chassis, design and equipment. This has resulted in better performance, as well as increased everyday comfort. The new Cayenne also features a more advanced display and infotainment system.

The Cayenne features a new cockpit shared with Porsche Taycan electric sports car's luxurious cockpit. The Porsche Cayenne's instrument console now gets a free-standing 12.6-inch curved driver's display, a 12.3-inch central display that operates the Porsche Communication Management system and a new optional 10.9-inch passenger display. A key feature of the new Porsche Driver Experience is the right balance between digital and analogue elements.
The redesigned control lever for the driver assistance system is directly placed on the steering wheel and the most crucial controls, important to the driving experience surround the steering wheel, including a drive mode switch that allows the driver to choose between Normal, Offroad, Sport, and Sport Plus modes.
The new engine start button is placed to the left of the steering wheel also new automatic gear selector is located just to the right of the steering wheel between the instrument cluster and the central display, making room on the centre console to carry the new air conditioning control panel with stylish analogue controls.

The updated Cayenne boasts a striking appearance and a newly designed front fascia with arched wings, a new hood, and Matrix LED headlights, which emphasize the vehicle's width. While the three-dimensional tail lights and a new rear apron with an integrated number plate holder enhances the rear end design of the new Cayenne.
While the Matrix LED headlights are available as standard, the HD Matrix LED Headlights come as an optional feature. The Cayenne Coupe also offers lightweight sports packages that can reduce weight by up to 33 kg and gives you a choice of 20, 21, and 22-inch wheels. The Cayenne also get three new colour options.
Porsche has also introduced an air quality system in the new Cayenne. The German automaker has equipped the Cayenne with several advanced safety features, including an active speed limiter, swerve assist, cornering assist, and an improved version of Porsche InnoDrive as part of its adaptive cruise control system. Porsche has equipped the Cayenne with new shock absorbers, the 2024 Cayenne now equips the Cayenne at the factory with a steel spring suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)
Technical Specifications of the New Cayenne SUV
The new Cayenne debuts with four different engine options: a three-litre V6 turbo engine, a hybrid V6, a four-litre V8 biturbo for Cayenne S and another four-litre V8 biturbo that powers the Cayenne GT
The newly optimized 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine delivers 348 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, which is 13hp and 50Nm more than before.
The powertrain of the Cayenne E-Hybrid is based on the 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine as it pairs with a new electric motor to deliver an increased output of 464 horses and Nm of torque. The electric motor gets a 25.9kWh battery, compared to the previous 17.9kWh. It delivers an increased electric-only output of 174hp and has a range of up to 90km.
The 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine by Porsche replaces the previous V6 engine in the new Cayenne. The V8 biturbo engine produces a whopping 468 horsepower and 600Nm of torque, 33hp and 50Nm more than its predecessor. The V8 accelerates both the SUV and the SUV Coupé from 0 to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed is 273kmph.
The Cayenne Turbo GT being the top model in the Cayenne range is powered by a different 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine of the Turbo GT that produces 650 horses, hp more than earlier. The Cayenne Turbo GT accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 305kmph.
Charging the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid
The electric motor gets a 25.9kWh battery and a new 11kW on-board charger charges the Cayenne E-Hybrid in less than two and a half hours despite the increased battery capacity. The optimised e-hybrid driving modes also increase the efficiency of the vehicle.
