MG motors has launched the latest-version of the fully-electric ZS SUV in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The 2024 MG ZS EV delivers a well-balanced package of a stylish and affordable electric SUV with modern tech and features. It is a well-suited companion for daily commutes, weekend getaways with family, scenic rides, and sets the path for future EVs from the brand.
The MG ZS EV also carries forward the British brand's commitment to develop advanced New Energy Vehicles (NEV), along with the brand’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle, the MG HS PHEV.
Technical Specs of the new 2024 MG ZS EV
The new MG ZS EV is driven by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Motor that produces a maximum power output of 174 horsepower and a torque of 280Nm, mated with an advanced automatic transmission. The SUV sprints from 0 to 50kmph in 3.6 seconds.
The electric car gets the option of two different capacity batteries including a standard 51 kWh battery and a long range 77 kWh battery. The 51kWh battery pack provides provides 280km of electric driving range while the 77kWh battery pack provides a range of 385km.

Inside the cabin, the ZS EV features a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment display, a 7-inch driver's display, a panoramic sunroof and a six-speaker audio system with immersive 3D sound effect. The ZS electric-SUV also provides multiple USB ports and a wireless phone charger. The electric vehicle allows the driver can also choose between three driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport) to suit his driving style.
The interior of the car offers comfortable and spacious seats with sufficient cargo space for luggage, while the foldable rear seats further expands the load capacity.
Like all the MG cars, the ZS EV incorporates cutting-edge technological features. The Park Assist feature, equipped with 360-degree cameras, ensures stress-free parking. The vehicle is also equipped with MG Pilot, an advanced suite of partially automated driver-assistance technologies that enhance driving safety and boost drivers' confidence on the road.

For passenger safety, the new MG ZS EV is equipped with the Electronic Stability Program as a standard, comprising eight safety functions such as ABS, EBD, CBC, TCS, VDC, HAZ, HHC, and BDW. These functions enhance driving stability in extreme road conditions or aggressive driving situations, ensuring a safe driving experience.

Building on the first-generation model's design language, the new ZS EV boasts a compact, elegant and attractive stance. Its gets a sleek and grille-less front fascia design accompanied by 'Silverstone' headlamps, while the new 'Phantom' LED tail lamps compliment the vehicle's rear design.
The split front and rear bumper of the car with chrome borders, chrome design elements on the side panels, rear spoiler and the roof rails adds to the car's sophisticated looks.
Charging the New MG ZS EV
The new MG ZS EV provides various charging solutions for user convenience. With the rapid charging option, the electric vehicle can be charged up to 80 percent in just 40 minutes from a fast charging station. Using a standard charging point, the estimated charging time is around 8.5 to 9 hours.
The ZS electric SUV features a user-friendly charging port behind the front grille along with an updated battery level indicator and offers a V2L reverse charging function to power external devices using the car's battery.
