2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Unveiled Globally

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been revealed globally. The GLC Coupe flaunts a stunning stance, looks robust and adventure-ready from the outside and gets a premium-quality interior.
The new GLC Coupe is a powerful yet efficient vehicle and comes with electric drive technology. It is available as a plug-in hybrid with an electric range suitable for daily use or as a 48-volt mild-hybrid with an integrated starter generator for extra power and energy regeneration. It gets slightly larger dimensions than its predecessor.

Exterior details of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

The robust and aggressive bodywork of the new GLC Coupé is enhanced by precisely moulded edges that underline its dimensions and the muscular wheel arches. Its unique exterior design also optimizes aerodynamics.
The GLC Coupe's standard equipment package includes the AVANTGARDE exterior with 18‑inch light alloy wheels and chrome styling. At the rear, the tailgate flaunts the Mercedes logo and features split taillight into the sides which are connected by black and red design elements. At the bottom, the exhausts are surrounded by a chrome element that runs across the bumper. Hybrid models have mixed-profile tyres with different widths on the front and rear axles. The car's width is highlighted by the seamless transition from the LED headlights to the radiator grille, which features the standard Mercedes-Benz pattern.
The AMG Line package of the GLC is available with 19-inch or 20-inch mixed-profile tyres, wheel arch liners in the car's matching colour and an optional Night package. Other features include wide track and flush wheels in 18- to 20-inch sizes.

Interior details of the new GLC Coupé

The interior of the GLC Coupe is equipped with the modern AVANTGARDE line as standard. The top part of the dashboard has a shape similar to that of wings, and it features newly designed flattened vents the bottom part has a spacious trim area that smoothly transitions into the curved centre console. Center console of the car features the latest generation of MBUX infotainment system with functions, an 11.9-inch infotainment screen along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A new feature on the doors is the floating control cluster, which integrates the door opener and seat adjustment controls.
The design of the seats incorporates layered and contoured surfaces, which gives them a visually lightweight appearance. The headrests and their connection to the backrest have also been redesigned and are now covered. A leather-lined dashboard with nappa-look beltlines is now available as a special feature and is standard for the AMG Line. Additionally, some trim elements have unique surface finishes, including open-pored wood veneers in brown, anthracite, and black, with aluminium inlays.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe now has larger boot space for long trips, it has a capacity of 545 litres, which is 45 litres more than the previous model, and in mild hybrid models, it can reach up to 1,490 litres (90 litres more than before). In plug-in hybrids, the boot capacity ranges from 390 to 1,335 litres. It also comes with an EASY-PACK tailgate that can be opened or closed conveniently at the touch of a button using the ignition key.

The 2024 GLC Coupe now gets electrified four-cylinder engine with plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid variants with petrol and diesel-powered options.
The mild-hybrid variant is equipped with a turbocharger and a second-generation integrated starter-generator (ISG), along with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that assists the combustion engine, especially at low engine speeds and also improves efficiency by supporting hybrid functions.

Petrol-powered variants- 
The GLC 200 4MATIC produces 204 horsepower and 320Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 227kmph.
The GLC 300 4MATIC makes 258 horsepower and 400Nm of torque. Goes 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 246kmph.
Diesel-powered variants- 
The GLC 200 d 4MATIC produces 197 horsepower and 440Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 8.1 seconds and has a top speed of 225kmph.
The GLC 300 d 4MATIC produces 269 horsepower and 550Nm of torque. Goes 0 to 100kmph in 6.4 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 249kmph.

Plug-in hybrid engine of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

The plug-in hybrid variants get a 31.2kWh battery and deliver enough electric-only range to fulfil daily needs. The updated hybrid driving programme reserves the electric driving mode for the most appropriate sections of the route, hence prioritising electric driving for urban areas.

Power output of the Mild Hybrid variants of the GLC Coupe

Petrol-powered variants- 
The GLC 300 e 4MATIC produces 313 horsepower and 550Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds, has a top speed of 220kmph and features an electric-only range between 119-131km.
The GLC 300 e 4MATIC makes 381 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. Goes from 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds, can achieve a top speed of 239kmph and features an electric-only range between 119-131km.
Diesel-powered variants- 
The GLC 300 de 4MATIC produces 335 horsepower and 750Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 6.4 seconds, has a top speed of 219kmph and features an electric-only range between 113-130km.
