The New Defender 130 Outbound, a 493 horsepower Defender 130 V8 and a new heritage-inspired County Exterior Pack for the Defender 110 are the latest additions to Land Rover Defender line-up. With these additional improvements, Land Rover has enlarged the Defender brand, providing more options and superior comfort while preserving the brand's renowned off-road capability.

2024 Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound

The New Defender 130 Outbound boasts a striking, rugged and muscular stance along with a lavish cabin and the ability to conquer any terrain that comes its way under its chunky wheels. It can accommodate up to five people and is a perfect choice for those who love adventure and exploration.

Exterior Updates on the Defender 130 Outbound

On the outside, the bumpers and grille insert of the Defender 130 Outbound has a Shadow Atlas Matt paint finish, and the side vents are finished in Anthracite. The Outbound gets two wheel sizes with different colours, a set of 20-inch wheels finished in Gloss Black and another Shadow Atlas Matt 22-inch wheels, which gives it a maximum wading capacity of 35.4 inches.

Colour options for the Outbound edition include Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey and Eiger Grey. Body-coloured rear signature panels and D-pillar finishers round off the external upgrades. The Satin Protective Film is an option for customers that require superior scratch resistance for exploring off-road terrains.

Defender 130 Outbound is available in two engine options - P400 petrol and D300 diesel Ingenium power, both come with a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology for optimized performance and efficiency.

Interior Updates on the Defender 130 Outbound

Inside the cabin, the interior is finished in Ebony, with an Ebony Morzine headliner, Robustec veneer and Defender’s signature cross-car beam in Satin Black Powder Coat Brushed finish, and customers get to choose from luxurious full Windsor leather and fabric material options according to their preferences.

Defender Outbound edition offers extra storage, lashing points, and a cargo net. Its 4x4 capability comes from Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System, Terrain Response, Electronic Air Suspension, and Adaptive Dynamics. Rubber matting can be folded down to protect the bumper when loading bulky items. The Outbound edition can tow up to 3,000kg of weight while connecting a trailer or a caravan is made easier with air suspension and switches inside the tailgate.

Defender Outbound has five seats and its 1.267-meter-long loadspace floor, located behind the second row, easily fits adventure equipment. Ideal for practical and versatile explorers.

Defender 130 V8

The Defender 130 lineup now offers three engine options for the eight-seater model thanks to the addition of a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, joining the six-cylinder Ingenium P400 and D300.

The Defender 130 line-up additionally features a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 493 horsepower and 610Nm of torque. The Supercharged V8 accelerates Defender 130 from 0 to 100kmph in 5.7 seconds (0 to 60mph in 5.4 seconds). This means that the SUV now gets a choice of three engines for the eight-seater variant, with the six-cylinder Ingenium P400 and D300 already available.
