Al-Futtaim Toyota Launches The All-New 2023 Toyota Crown In UAE

Al-Futtaim Automotive has reintroduced the Toyota Crown flagship sedan in UAE. The 16th generation Crown with its eye-catchy design, powerful engine and host of features is ready to set a new benchmark in the premium segment throughout the seven Emirates.

The Crown was first introduced in 1955 as the “Toyopet Crown. It was the Japanese brand's first mass-produced passenger vehicle and became popular as Toyota’s premium sedan in Japan. It also has a relation with the Middle East as it was also the first Japanese sedan to hit Middle East shores back in 1960.

Technical Specs of the all-new Toyota Crown

The 16th gen Crown has been introduced with a turbo-hybrid engine. The hybrid powertrain includes a front electric motor and Toyota's first-ever 2.4-litre turbo engine, connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. It also has a rear eAxle with a powerful water-cooled electric motor that directly powers all four wheels. The new Toyota Crown produces a combined output of 345 horsepower and 550Nm of torque and offers a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 18kmpl.

The Crown also choose from NORMAL, ECO, SPORT, and SPORT+. Each mode provides enhanced steering response, flat cornering, and a sense of stability. It is built on Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform. The car also has a new MacPherson strut-type suspension at the front and a new multi-link suspension at the rear.

The new Crown can also be driven on electric-only power. hence, resulting in zero fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions. The batteries powering the motors are also constantly charged through the energy from deceleration, braking and the petrol engine itself, eliminating the need for external charging.


Interior details of the 2023 Toyota Crown

The flagship sedan from Toyota features a 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also features a colour head-up display (HUD), a curved instrument panel, an 11-speaker JBL surround sound system, USB charging ports, a panoramic roof, and an electrically powered trunk with a foot-gesture system.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Crown offers two colour options 'Fromage and Black' while elegant metal accents also enhance the cabin's look and feel. Passenger comfort and convenience are ensured by its multi-adjustable power and ventilated front seats and 60/40 split and reclining rear seats. The sedan's unique height provides a better view of the road, as well as eases entry and exit.


Exterior details of the 2023 Toyota Crown

The new Toyota Crown stands out with its distinct presence, featuring an elegant exterior design that embodies simplicity and modernity. The sharp front-end design of the car has a large front grille, while the daytime running light blends with the sleek headlights enhancing the vehicle's striking stance. Moving to the rear design, the slim tail lights make the look more refined and luxurious.

The Toyota Crown offers a range of exterior colour options, including Precious White Pearl, Precious Silver, Precious Metal, Massive Gray, Black, Emotional Red II, and Precious Bronze. It also has dual-tone variants where Black can be combined with Precious White Pearl, Precious Silver, Precious Metal, Massive Gray, Emotional Red ll, or Precious Bronze. The new Crown also features 21-inch machine-finished black aluminium wheels, enhancing its stance.

Safety Features on the flagship sedan

As with any Toyota vehicle, the new Crown is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, the advanced safety and driver assistance system that includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) that detects vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcycles.

Drivers can also benefit from Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with a multitude of features, Lane Tracing Alert (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Adaptive High-beam System (AHS). Furthermore, the new Crown also features Toyota's first-ever Safe Exit Assist (SEA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC).
