While the 2022 Lotus Emira is the last petrol-powered car from Norwich, it certainly isn't something that you can take lightly. Despite the sports car being, er, quite light itself. And this is just the first of many good things about this car. Shall we find out more?
Competing squarely against the Porsche 718 Cayman, the Emira features a mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 pumping out 400hp and 430Nm. With this car, it's not about the numbers on paper, but how those numbers translate into real-world driving. You see, Lotus cars have been acclaimed as some of the sharpest-handling cars made on this planet. The Emira is no different, tipping the scales at 1,405kg. Pair that to the output of the V6 First Edition, and you have a mighty quick car around the corners.
While looks are subjective, the 2022 Lotus Emira looks fetching with its compact proportions and sportscar silhouette, managing perfectly to exude an impression of a lightweight, agile car that should be loads of fun to drive.
It is no coincidence the Emira is named what it is. With this car, Lotus aims to get into the hearts of driving connoisseurs in the UAE. Building on that sentiment, Adamas Motors - the exclusive importer and distributor of Lotus cars in the UAE - conducted a special viewing of the 2022 Lotus Emira at its Dubai showroom on the 10th and 12th of October.
