2022 Land Rover Defender Gets Supercharged 5.0-Litre V8
Land Rover has announced that the 2022 Land Rover Defender's 90 and 110 models will get a supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The V8 Defender will have 525 horsepower on offer and have a top speed of 149 mph (240 kph).
Eagle-eyed viewers will spot that the new Defender has got Satin Dark Grey 22-inch, Xenon Blue brake calipers, and a quad-exhaust system. The exhaust system has been beefed up for better noise.
The Defender has also gained stiffer suspension bushes, bespoke spring and damper rates, a new “Electronic Active Rear Differential” and new ‘Dynamic’ mode for the Terrain Response system. We're told that the 'Dynamic' mode will help drivers “exploit the more dynamic character” of the V8.
Inside you will find Ebony Windsor leather seats, Alcantara steering wheel and satin chrome flappy paddles. The rest of the interior is pretty much unchanged.
Land Rover is also releasing a Carpathian Edition which will be finished in Carpathian Grey and have Narvik Black roof, bonnet, and tailgate. It will also have a semi-matte finish thanks to a Satin Protective Film.
The V8 Land Rover Defender will cost around 370,000 AED. What are your thoughts on the V8 Land Rover Defender? Tell us in the comments below.
