2021 Ford Bronco Caught Undisguised!
The world has been eagerly waiting for the 2021 Ford Bronco to make its debut. Ford is also playing a tantalising game, releasing precious few tidbits about the upcoming SUV. In a recent spyshot, we can clearly see what the new Bronco's made of!
As can be seen from what is clearly a drone capture, the Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport look like they were out on a TVC shoot accompanied by Chevrolet Silverado and Ford F-150 pickups. This shot is where we see the new Bronco for the first time without Ford obscuring it with camouflage.
The three-door, short-wheelbase trim looks the most exciting with its blocky, rugged design, paired with fat balloon tyres. The wheels fill the wheel arches nicely, with possible room for upsizing. Add to that the upright windscreen, external spare wheel, and high ground clearance, and we are looking at an SUV that can tread the most treacherous of terrains.
The Bronco name marks a comeback after almost 25 years, having gone off production in 1996. During its time, the SUV was a runaway favourite owing to its go-anywhere ability, simple design, and practicality. While the new model won't cater to the same principles of the OG Bronco, it will still retain the ability to traverse new paths. It already has a three-decade legacy to fall back on, much like its rivals.
Speaking of rivals, there are a few out there. Foremost is the Land Rover Defender which entered its second generation after a three-year hiatus. The fist-gen and current Defenders differ widely in many aspects, yet retain the core formula. Ford has another homegrown rival to contend with. The Jeep Wrangler has been the cornerstone of rugged, no-limits overlanding. If Ford wants to sell the new Bronco as much as it targets, these are the two biggest rivals it must take head-on.
Looking at the 2021 Ford Bronco, the Blue Oval sure seems to have got the formula just right.
