Ram Trucks has brought the 2019 Ram 1500 to the Middle Eastern markets. The all-new 2019 Ram is not only about power and towing capacity but also offers increased luxury compared to rivals.
Ram Trucks was a little late to the full-size pickup party with Chevrolet and Ford having already launched the new Silverado and F-150 respectively. With the launch of the 1500 pickup, the holy trinity is now complete. Fast forward to present day, Ram has brought the 2019 1500 to the shores of the GCC. And this time the pickup does not boast only about its power output and tow rating. The cabin of the 2019 Ram 1500 is nothing short of luxurious, featuring as much as 57 percent more leather compared to rivals.
Ram has fitted the 2019 1500 with a plethora of state-of-the-art comfort and convenience features. There is the award-winning fourth generation UConnect system accessible from a 12-inch touchscreen display which is capable of a split-screen mode. This allows the driver to operate two applications at the same time. Android Auto, as well as Apple CarPlay, are available, so is a wireless phone charger which is embedded in the centre armrest. Multifunction USB-C ports are also available which allow up to four times faster charging.
Pickup trucks are notorious for being difficult to park owing to their massive dimensions. The 2019 Ram 1500 has got that bit covered through its clever features which include front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, blind spot mirrors, and rear cross path detection system.
How about the performance? The American maker of trucks does not disappoint in this regard. The 2019 Ram 1500 which is coming to the Middle East is the top-level Limited trim. It is powered by a 5.7-litre HEMI petrol motor that makes 395hp and 550Nm. What's more, the engine features variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation tech for improved efficiency and performance. Power and torque are sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The transmission is actuated via a segment-exclusive rotary shifter present on the dashboard.
Pricing for the 2019 Ram 1500 is yet to be revealed, but Ram did announce the availability of a 5-year/1,00,000km manufacturer warranty and service package.
