Following a comprehensive upgrade, the popular Porsche Macan is now available in the UAE. With performance credentials that cement the car's place as the premier sporty alternative in its segment, the 2019 Porsche Macan was showcased at a special event held by Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles.
The Porsche Macan has been the bestseller in its segment by a fair margin. Porsche, at its end, doesn't want to dwell on past achievements, and has kept modernizing the compact sporty SUV at every opportunity.
Commenting on the new Macan's arrival in the UAE, K Rajaram, Chief Executive Officer of Al Nabooda Automobiles LLC, said: “The Macan has been one of our most successful models and with the new generation combining even more pronounced Porsche DNA, greater performance and comfort, I am confident that the success story is sure to continue.

At the heart of the 2019 Porsche Macan lies a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine that defies its displacement's limitations. Power is rated at 252hp while the maximum torque output is 370Nm. The compact SUV accelerates from zero to 100kph in 6.5 seconds, topping out at 227kph.
The Macan S ships with a V6 motor that pushes 354hp and 480Nm. Performance figures for this car stand at 5.1 seconds to hundred and a top speed of 254kph. But it is not the numbers that make this German crossover a popular choice among motorists. The car's driving dynamics are simply sublime. Porsche has revamped the Macan's chassis to enhance driving pleasure, stability, and comfort.
Mixed-size tyres, improved brakes, and intelligent AWD Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system come together to sharpen the Macan's already impressive dynamics. All the new elements make the crossover more of a sports car than before. The range of standard equipment has also expanded to include goodies like panoramic sunroof, automatically dimming mirrors, and ParkAssist.
Porsche has tweaked the Macan's design slightly, and offers new exterior colours on the palette for 2019- Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue, and Crayon.
Inside, seats are wrapped in Alcantara while the steering wheel, selector lever, and armrests are finished in leather. Full-leather interiors can be optionally specified. A 10.9-inch touchscreen handles infotainment needs. The optional GT sports steering wheel echoes the Porsche 911. Specify the Sport Chrono Package with the 2019 Porsche Macan, and you get a mode switch integrated into the steering wheel, including a Sport Response Button. This setup can also be found on the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The 2019 Porsche Macan is now available at Porsche Centre Dubai for AED 214,800 while the Macan S costs AED 283,100.
