Ford Mustang is one of the few cars that I can never forget. It gathered a solid fan base when it was first launched in 1964. The car has received many timely upgrades over the years and gained more well-wishers as it grew old. Today, the competition in the automotive industry is very fierce and to keep up its ante, Ford Middle East is here with its 2018 Mustang with the necessary updates.
The new 2018 Ford Mustang gets more power, which is what petrol-heads usually demand. Engineers at Ford have worked on the engine to extract a few more horses. Now, the 5.0-litre, V8 engine produces 460 bhp which is 25 units more than the previous engine. There is also an increase in the torque. The new Mustang churns out 570 Nm of peak torque while it had 543 Nm in the previous state of tune.
Ford has also included a new 'Drag Strip' driving mode, which will help the customers to extract the maximum out of their cars. This mode, with its wizardry techniques, in conjunction with the new 10-speed automatic transmission and grippy Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, will take the new Mustang from 0-60 mph (0-97 kph) in 4 seconds! It means that it's quicker than the 6.2 litre, V8 Chevy Camaro SS and even the Porsche 911 4S.
There are other customisation options available in the 2018 Ford Mustang, like new paint jobs, a plethora of wheels to pick from, a 12-inch customisable digital instrument cluster borrowed directly from the Ford GT. Ford has also included new safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control and Distance Alert, as well as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Aid.
If we talk about the looks, the new 2018 Ford Mustang has got a few changes which include a more aggressive set of headlights, a slightly lower bonnet which also houses air-vents, new sharper designed front bumper along with new turn signals. It also gets full-LED lighting all around. More or less, the new Mustang looks that much more attractive than ever.
Ford Mustang offers a whole lot for its price and that's one of the many reasons why this American car is so popular all around the planet. It is one of the highest selling products of the company and, undoubtedly, Ford wants it to remain that way, hence, the new upgrades were necessary.
