Liberty Automobiles Pulls The Plug On General Motors’ Dealership
In an official release on Monday, Liberty Automobiles announced that it is ending its journey with General Motors after operating as its largest dealer in the UAE for more than four decades.
Since its inception in 1976, Liberty Automobiles has played an integral part in the growth of General Motors and emerged as one of the leading distributors in the entire region.
After ending its agreement of dealership with the American auto giant, Al Ghandi Auto will now be assigned as the Cadillac Dealer for the UAE and Chevrolet Dealer for Sharjah, Um Al Quwain, Ajman, and Fujairah. While the reason for such a decision was not mentioned by the company, the release said: “As for Liberty Automobiles Company, we are always exploring new opportunities, hence, we are currently working with our strategic partners to define our strategy for the next 10 years.”
With six showrooms across the country, Liberty Automobiles extends its services from new-car-buying experience, service centres, genuine parts sales centres, used car dealerships, 24/7 Roadside Assistance that’s just a phone call away and unique customization and aftermarket kitting facility under the banner of Liberty Motor Sports (LMS).
A few of its recent notable awards from the automaker include the GM Grandmasters Award, GM Middle East Technician Skills Competition award and Best Cadillac Service Center in the Middle East. Additionally, in the UAE motoring landscape, Liberty Automobiles has been honoured with the Highest Customer Satisfaction Scores in the Middle East, ‘Best of Best’ Retail Standards Award in the Middle East and Best Service Advisors in the Middle East.
