GMC Launches 2019 Terrain In The UAE
The 2019 GMC Terrain has finally arrived in the UAE bringing a host of new safety features, slightly tweaked exterior and two new turbocharged engines.
On the outside, the 2019 Terrain comes with a new grille with more chrome, new LED lighting and a silhouette that has been tweaked as a result of numerous hours at the wind tunnel. All other models feature signature LED running lamps and tail lamps. Bi-functional HID headlamps are standard on SLE and SLT. Additionally, 17-inch wheels are standard on SLE, with 18-inch wheels standard on SLE AWD, and standard on SLT.
GMC has hit the right places with new interiors on the Terrain. Upping the ‘premium’ feel inside the car are elements such as authentic aluminium trim, soft-touch materials on the instrument panel and doors and standard active noise cancellation.
On the Denali models, owners can avail features such as ventilated front seats, Skyscape power sunroof, Bose premium 7-speaker sound system and a hands-free programmable power liftgate. Meanwhile, standard across all the Terrain models is a 7-inch infotainment system that ships Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The available Driver Alert Package 2 has been enhanced with the addition of Front Pedestrian Braking. The overall safety features on the new Terrain stands with HD Rear Vision Camera, Surround Vision, Forward Collision Alert with Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Safety Alert Driver Seat and Following Distance Indicator.
The 2019 Terrain comes with an option of two turbocharged engines. The 1.5-lite turbo DOHC engine churns out 170hp through a Hydra-Matic nine-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre engine puts out 252hp through the same transmission.
Price for the Terrain starts from at AED 93,700 while the Denali variants begin from AED 141,700 in the UAE.
