Continental And Emirates Red Crescent Collaborated With The Green Planet For Special Expedition For Underprivileged Children In Dubai
A guided rainforest environment tour, a chance to feed fish and birds, and close encounters with reptiles like snakes and lizards were part of the unique experience.
In the spirit of Ramadan, Continental and Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) collaborated with The Green Planet to plan a special expedition for underprivileged children in Dubai. This activity is part of a successful and ongoing partnership between the tyre manufacturer and ERC that started during the AFC Asian Cup 2019 UAE.
Continental arranged a special day out for 20 underprivileged children, between the ages of 8 to 15, and ERC staff at The Green Planet. A guided rainforest environment tour, the chance to feed fish and birds, and close encounters with reptiles like snakes and lizards were all part of the event’s unique experience. Two fellow content creators, as well as their families, were invited as well. The day came to an end with an iftar at The Terrace, a restaurant inside The Green Planet with a rainforest-themed ambience and a kids’ play area. Overall, it was a lovely experience for all.
Continental has a strong focus on sustainability, and The Green Planet gave the kids a fun and worthwhile opportunity to learn about sustainability. Three thousand plants and animals, including mammals, birds, and reptiles, are housed in the bio-dome. The kids engaged with unusual animals such as anacondas, parrots, slow lorises, lac monitors, and sugar gliders.
