The 2019 Audi A7 Sportback is now available in the Middle East. On offer with the four-door coupe is a host of new technology, improved infotainment interface, and a new mild hybrid system.

Think that coupes are irresistible but wish they had more doors? The answer lies in the 2019 Audi A7 Sportback. Audi’s take on the four-door coupe has been steadily getting better and better with each passing generation. The first Audi A7 debuted in 2010 and offered the customers of the niche segment a great alternative to the famous ‘Banana Car’ Mercedes-Benz CLS. Fast forward to present day, the 2019 Audi A7 improves upon its lineage with a sharper design, updated interiors and a new set of connectivity and convenience features.

The 2019 Audi A7 is designed like a coupe but is in actual fact a mid-size luxury saloon. Lighting is all-LED, and typical of Audi is advanced enough to be a USP for the German carmaker. Due to its notchback, it offers 535 litres of storage space, with a total of 1390 litres liberated if the rear seats are folded down. MMI (Multi Media Interface) radio is standard along with Navigation and Navigation Plus optionally available. There is a selection of four sound systems for customers to choose from, with the top-of-the-line variants featuring a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System with a 3D sound for passengers in the back.

The A7 Sportback now on offer in the Middle East comes standard with a new mild hybrid system for improved efficiency. Fuel consumption per hundred kilometres is reduced by 0.7 litres. A 48-volt primary electrical system is paired with the 3.0-litre V6 petrol motor. The A7 features a Belt Alternator Starter or BAS which works with the lithium-ion battery. The Audi A7 Sportback can cruise between speeds of 55kph to 160kph with the engine turned off. The motor turns itself on effortlessly thanks to the BAS technology.

There is only one trim on offer in the UAE: The 55 TFSI which is powered by the 3.0-litre V6 that makes 340hp. Paired to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission, the car can hit 100kph in 5.3 seconds, topping out at 250kph, electronically limited. Quattro all-wheel-drive system is, of course, standard.

The 2019 Audi A7 Sportback is now available in the UAE at AED 315,000 including VAT.
