The Second Edition of Rally Jameel, the first world-class women-only rally in the area, was successfully completed with all 82 participants arriving safely at the finish line in Al-Qassim, the final stage of the five-day long rally. The rally took place from March 7th – 11th and received participation from around the world, participants from more than 16 nationalities have applied for the rally.
Following the success of the first edition in 2022, and because of the participants' requests, this year’s route was extended and roughly covered a total distance of 1,600 kilometres in 5 days, which challenged the navigational and precision driving skills of all the teams.
The Rally Jameel's journey went through some of Saudi Arabia's otherworldly diverse and breathtaking terrains, beautiful deserts, and historical and archaeological sites including the capital of Elephant Rock, the 52-meter-tall sandstone monolith is the most famous of all rock formations in Al-Ula and Jubbah. The rally also went around Ha'il's UNESCO World Heritage Site with the most amount of rock carvings from three eras, A'arif Fort built in 1260 and Nagsh Al-Malikah (Queen Rock), the sole rock carving of a woman found in the area with such magnificent detail. The Rally then concluded at Al-Qassim, the food basket of the Saudi Arabian Kingdom and the world’s largest camel market.
This year's rally also witnessed a surge in corporate sponsorship to encourage more teams, which opens up new options for private sector businesses to get involved in racing as the rally develops and trains new drivers and navigators to get them ready for competitions in the future.
Rally Jameel also welcomed the support of 68 seasonal members of the organizing staff. The organizers were picked by Bab Rizq Jameel, a subsidiary of Community Jameel Saudi, which works to provide young people with new sources of income.
Rally Jameel is initiated by Abdul Latif Jameel Motors and Bakhashab Motorsports, it’s the latest world-class motorsport event hosted in Saudi Arabia and it’s sanctioned by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and supported by the FIA Women in Motorsport (WIMC) program.

Ewelina Chlebowska of Poland and her co-driver Hanna Riehle of Germany from the team Sandstorm Express conquered the rally in their Toyota FJ Cruiser and stood in the first place. Camilia Liparoti of Italy and her co-driver Rosa Romero of Spain from CAT Racing in their Toyota Fortuner took the second position and Swedish professional rally driver Annie Seel and her co-driver Catalina Floberg from Seel Motorsport in their Toyota Fortuner finished third.
Hanna Riehle, the co-driver of Sandstorm Express, champions of this year’s edition said, “We really enjoyed this year’s rally, a key aspect that helped propel us to the top was teamwork. I’m proud to be Ewelina’s co-driver, I feel we demonstrated that with teamwork anything is possible. This is our second time in Rally Jameel, and we are honored to have been crowned champions as a result of our hard work and perseverance”.
