Kia motors have officially revealed the EV9 inside out by releasing full images of the exterior and interior designs of the three-row electric flagship SUV. The EV9 will be the Korean carmaker's first three-row electric SUV and represents a crucial move from Kia toward becoming a sustainable mobility solutions provider. The 2024 Kia EV9 comes with a bold design on the outside and a comfortable and sophisticated interior.
Exterior design details of the 2024 Kia EV9 Electric SUV
The exterior design of the EV9 is driven by Kia's "Opposites United" design philosophy, which uses the creative tension produced by the differing values of nature and modernity to create a harmonious whole. The exterior of EV9 embodies a blend of rugged, elegant and sharp geometrical design, with the serene calmness of a sophisticated electric vehicle that directs the brand's future EV models.The e-SUV features clean lines on the front, accompanied by the ‘Digital Pattern Lighting Grille’, vertical LED headlights and ‘Star Map LED daytime running lights (DRL)’. Two groups of little cube lamps in the bodywork adjacent to each headlight make up the unique digital tiger face design.
The 2024 EV9 carries a polygonal design language on the outside and comes with triangular fenders and geometrical wheel arch panels. The car's flush door handles and tapering roofline provide the impression of smooth and efficient motion. Simple, sleek body lines continue to the tailgate at the rear, detailed by the thin LED tail lights that mimic the headlight's shape.
Interior design details of the three-row SUV
The interior design of the Kia EV9 features a well-ventilated and premium cabin with a floating panoramic dashboard design extending from the steering wheel to the vehicle's center. The infotainment console of the EV9 includes two 12.3-inch touch screen displays integrated with one 5-inch segment display and physical buttons are kept to a minimum. The center console of the car incorporates storage slots with a bigger compartment at its base.Built on Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9's ample interior space long wheelbase, low beltline, and entirely flat electric vehicle architecture provide comfort in all three rows of seats. The vehicle will be offered in both six and seven-seat formats.
The first and second-row seats can be reclined to relax while the EV9 is charging. Moreover, the seats on the second row can be rotated 180 degrees facing the third row. Furthermore, the third-row seats also include cup holders and mobile device charging ports.
The start/stop function, along with AVNT and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control, is provided by a series of hidden type touch buttons underneath the AVNT screen.
The Kia EV9 will make its global digital premiere in late March 2023. At the event, Kia would reveal all the details of the vehicle and launch a worldwide campaign with the tagline, ‘Here to reshape the way we move.’
