2021 Mazda CX-9 Review | It's Still The Best 7-Seater Family SUV

The particular model that I reviewed was the 2021 Mazda CX-9 Signature edition. It is the top of the line version and is offered with ample goodies. The Mazda CX-9 2021 has one of the best fit and finish when it comes to material choice and fit & finish. It has white leather seats which are super comfortable during the long journey. While the third row of the seat has decent space, it still is far better than many 7-seater SUVs in its segment.

The Mazda CX 9 comes with an 8-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment system. The MZD system on it now seems aged and it's time Mazda introduces the newer system found in the Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda 3 hatchback. You still can connect to the system using the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Mazda CX-9 comes with a 2.5-Litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged SkyActiv engine that produces 227 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed SkyActiv transmission. This powertrain will deliver a fuel economy between 9 - 10 kmpl. The 2021 CX-9 comes with an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system. But it is not available on the base model which comes with front-wheel-drive (FWD) only.

The CX-9 though it's been 4 years from the day it was launched still remains one of the finest family SUV that is well made and has all the comfort features. The CX-9 has always remained ahead of its time even when it was first launched. It set the design base for the other models like Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-5, Mazda 6, Mazda 3 and Mazda CX-30.
