Nissan Middle East Has Collaborated With GCC Government Organizations To Fight Fake Spare Parts

Nissan Middle East has taken a big step to advance consumer safety by addressing the issue of fake spare parts in the area. Nissan has worked with numerous aftersales stakeholders to identify counterfeit spare parts and has trained authorities, partners, and clients around the Middle East in order to do this.
Nissan Middle East is collaborating with GCC government organizations to fight fake parts. Currently, training is being provided to Customs Authorities, Economic Departments, and Police in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Bahrain, and Dubai, with intentions to expand this training to Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar in the near future. The training enables teams to identify frequently duplicate products, such as brakes, oil filters, and spark plugs, and to distinguish between real and fake parts.
The performance and dependability of vehicles are eventually affected by the worldwide automotive counterfeit market, which continues to represent a serious risk to drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. The training is being held and offered by Nissan as part of its larger anti-counterfeit product initiatives in the region, which include visits to over 320 stores in the GCC over the past six months to confirm the authenticity of aftersales products available on the market.
Nissan hosted an Aftersales Conference earlier this year, bringing together important regional partners to talk about the company's focus on after-sales products and services. At the conference, Nissan discussed its goals for the future that underlined the value of digital touchpoints in providing consumers in the Middle East with a smooth ownership experience.

Around three million spare parts, including Nissan Genuine Oil, Batteries, and Accessories, and more than 500 Value Advantage parts that provide high-quality performance, simple installation, and a reasonable price, are included in Nissan's after-sales product line in the region.
Nissan provides more than three million aftersales parts in the Middle East, including 500 Value Advantage parts, genuine oil, batteries, and accessories. By having their cars serviced at one of the eight recognised distributors and aftersales centers with 101 outlets throughout the area, customers may benefit from things like repair warranties, technical expertise, and quick service.

A word from Nissan officials

Thierry Sabbagh, President, of Nissan Saudi Arabia, INFINITI Middle East and Managing Director, Nissan Middle East, said, “Customer safety and satisfaction remain our number one priority, and we are committed to our responsibility towards protecting our customers from the dangers of counterfeit products. Through our partnerships with authorities across the Middle East, we are taking concrete steps to ensure that our customers have access to genuine products that deliver added safety and peace of mind while retaining the authenticity of our Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).”
Praising Nissan’s efforts to curb counterfeit products in the market at a dedicated Authorities Training session in February 2023, Mubarak Saeed Al Katheri, Inspector at Abu Dhabi Customs, said, “By raising awareness about how to determine the authenticity of products, such training workshops facilitate our daily operations, and support our inspectors at Abu Dhabi Customs to easily discover non-genuine products.”
