Mahindra & Mahindra is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturer with a rich history that dates back to 1945. The company was started in Mumbai, India, by Kailash Chandra Mahindra and J.C. Mahindra, along with Malik Ghulam Mohammed.

Initially, Mahindra & Mahindra started as a steel trading company, but soon ventured into manufacturing vehicles. In 1947, they introduced their first vehicle, the Willys Jeep, under a license agreement with Willys-Overland Corporation of the United States. This marked the beginning of their automotive journey.

Over the years, Mahindra & Mahindra became known for producing sturdy and reliable vehicles, particularly SUVs and utility vehicles. Their vehicles gained popularity in the Indian market, especially in rural areas and challenging terrains.
