Capability and affordability is the success mantra for the Korean brand, SsangYong and its newest iteration of automotive competitiveness comes from its new Rexton W which they say is the elegant and traditional 4×4 that goes against Hyundai Santa Fe, and Mitsubishi Outlander. Outside the car, you would not take it for a cross-over besides the size at which it comes as the car has a conservative design and you would know things only when you get behind the wheel and start going.
Inside the car there is a two tone leather upholstery, massive cabin and a huge center console with reasonably good soft touch materials all over the place. The car comes with heated seats which is also electrically adjustable, Air conditioning, cruise control, parking sensors, and infotainment and satellite navigation systems. The cabin is practical with a lot of storage spaces and the passenger seats are also very comfortable with a lot of room everywhere. You get under floor storage in the rear seats and cooled cup holders in the rear in select trims. The boot is also very practical which is large and accommodating and the seats will fold down to load some more luggage for a huge trip.
It puts out 180hp that comes with a 7-speed Mercedes Benz gearbox will quickly rifle through the gears to give you power. It has a lot of torque and has an optional 4×4 system that allows you to go off-road and come out without a problem as the car is very capable off-road as well. There is a torque vectoring mode that helps it further in handling the dirty stuff. The SsangYong is an affordable SUV that offers a lot for the price at which it comes at making it a value car.
